Why hammering evolution into Genesis and believing the two can work together is heresy.
To believe evolution brought about Adam there had to be death in the world already for him to ‘become’ human. To say there was death in the world before Adam means that God said death was good (Genesis 1:31 “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”).
The Bible makes it clear – Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death.”
Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.”
Romans 5:14
“Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.”
Death was a result of Adams sin.
If Adam himself was not fully human, then death would still have to have happened before God “finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done.” (Genesis 2:1) You also have a very short genealogy to contend with written throughout the bible – whereas millions of years would have required far longer genealogies.
